Happy Women’s Day!

International Women’s Day (IWD), originally called International Working Women’s Day, is marked on March 8 every year. In different regions the focus of the celebrations ranges from general celebration of respect, appreciation and love towards women to a celebration for women’s economic, political and social achievements.

The first national Women’s Day was observed on 28 February 1909 in the United States following a declaration by the Socialist Party of America. In August 1910, an International Women’s Conference was organized to precede the general meeting of the Socialist Second International in Copenhagen.

This year, Oxfam America is inviting people to celebrate inspiring women in their lives by sending a free International Women’s Day e-Card or honoring a woman whose efforts make a difference in the fight against hunger and poverty with Oxfam’s International Women’s Day award.

I want to say that Happy Women’s Day to all women who are beautiful, talent, smart all around the world. The world is beautiful because of you! ♥

  1. I must say a grateful Thanks then to my mother and mother-in-law, who both worked so hard to raise wonderful, happy, loved children and made a difference in the world by being the superb women that they are!

Thanks to you, too, for reminding us all to think of such important women and the work that they do!

    1. Thank you too, Kathryn.. I am really happy about your comment. I give importance to these special days and of course prefer to share with you. I thought that someone should do sth. like this. So, I decided to why I don’t do this and in the end, I did. ٩(×⌣×)۶
